 Devil’s Staircase (yakshayage padipela) is a 22 KM scenic route from Kalupahana to Ohiya. It is a dream destination for hikers and trekkers as the remote and hard road take you through an amazing display of nature. Meeyan ella waterfall

  District : Kegalle Meeyan Ella is a waterfall with a deep history yet unknown to many. The waterfall lies along the railway line to Kandy near Ihalakotte railway station. The stream which creates the Meeyan Ella waterfall originates from a place called Helan-Madiththa on the Alagalla mountain. Originally the waterfall fell as a single stream over an rock and flowed over the villages of Walagoda and Thalagolla, joining Thalagolla Oya. Thalagolla Oya then gets connected to Ma Oya in Boella. But today the waterfall drops as two steams  with a gap of about 50 meters along two artificially cut grooves on the rock surface. How this once a mighty waterfall became two small waterfalls is an interesting story. Hulangala mountain peak

 There are many places in Sri Lanka called 'Lokanthaya' which have beautiful mountain peaks and Navgala or Hulangala mountain peak is a tourist destination with such a doomsday. The ancients also referred to this hill as "Navgala" with two peaks that look like a sailboat from a distance.  Hulangala is located in the southern part of the Knuckles Range in the Salagama Estate in the Kurunegala District. Although the top of the Hulangala hill is located on the border of the Kurunegala district, the lower part of the slope belongs to the Matale district.
